Who We Serve

Atone Therapy serves anyone who may be dealing with issues of loss of self or identity in other people. We focus on ways to reclaim your sense of self and identity, name and define what it is that disconnected you from your self and identity, and equip you with the knowledge, tools, and resources to enhance your understanding and life recovery.  Atone Therapy educates individuals about emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that lead one to save, fix, rescue, please, manage, control, and care too much about others.  We teach individuals the skills to anchor and manage these tendencies in an effort to promote a healthier management of these behaviors, and to cultivate a much stronger and healthier sense of self and identity in relationships.

Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)

Atone Therapy recognizes the trauma experienced by individuals who identify with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).  We validate and acknowledge the harm and injury of the pervasive effects of systemic racism, social discrimination, and multigenerational racial trauma, that can cause BIPOC individuals to lose their sense of self and identity in people who do not align with their racial/ethnic identity.  Atone Therapy offers trauma-informed, culturally competent modalities, interventions, and practices to guide BIPOC individuals towards a path of a more affirming, healthier sense of self and identity, and improving their  quality of relationships with others.

LGBTQ+

Atone Therapy validates, affirms, and advocates for the needs of those who have experienced victimization and interpersonal rejection.  We address the negative societal impacts of homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism on one's sense of self, identity, and interpersonal interactions with others.

College Students

College is the catalyst for one's personal and professional growth: personal, academic, and career. These few years of life is where individuals have an opportunity to develop their identity and lifestyle for themselves and carries with them for the rest of one's life.. There is an immense pressure to perform and can become overwhelming. Having to balance schoolwork, social commitments, relationships, clubs, sports, and one's mental and emotional health can increase their responsibility from life before college. This drastic addition of responsibilities and pressure can be intimidating, stressful, and traumatizing. Atone Therapy offers a safe, confidential space to guide and facilitate the process of navigating these stressors within an environment of open communication. We integrate healthy coping strategies to confront and challenge the pressures and stressors as they come up along the path.
